Open Training Builder in the sidebar. Trainings are built in three layers:
| Layer | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Journey | A complete program | Front Desk Onboarding |
| Lesson | One short sitting inside a journey | Answering the phone |
| Module | One step inside a lesson | Reading, quiz, or role play |
1. Create a journey
Give it a name, then choose:
- Lesson order — linear (lessons unlock one at a time) or non-linear (any order).
- Allow repeat — whether learners can retake it after finishing.
2. Add lessons
Keep lessons short — one idea each. Drag to reorder.
3. Add modules to each lesson
- Text — reading content in the rich-text editor: headings, lists, bold, colors and images from your media library.
- Test — a quiz. Add questions to check understanding.
- Role play — an AI practice conversation. See AI Roleplay & customer characters.
Importing in bulk
If you already have training material, the Training Builder can import a CSV/ZIP package of journeys, lessons, modules and questions. Download the template from the import screen to see the expected columns.
Tips
- Lead each lesson with a short reading module, then check it with a quiz or role play.
- Write the way you'd explain it to a new hire in person: clear, warm and concise.
- The fastest way to draft a whole program is with an AI assistant — see Using HoanIt with AI assistants.
